.Net Web Developer (£40-£45K)
You might not think of Cornwall when you think about developing your tech career, but you'd be surprised at the tech scene here! We work with global clients and some of our teams are releasing multiple times a day across multiple regions. We're continuously improving and striving to be better. Moving to Cornwall is definitely a lifestyle change if you haven't lived here before, but not at the expense of compromising your career. We honestly feel like we have it pretty good!
We are just over 100 people from 18 different countries and we like to have fun at work. We have a very laid back feel with a relatively flat structure, small self organising teams of 2-7 people. There's no pressure to work extra hours to churn out more and more code. Our culture and environment is dedicated to making people happy at work. There's lots of pair programming and mobbing, our rooms are set up to allow people to do this and we love the way it works for us.
You will be joining one of two high performing teams of 5 .Net developers and testers, based in our Cornwall office with very occasional travel to the client site. We are developing the customer facing web portal for our clients' customers. The application is currently undergoing a complete user experience refresh, changing the branding as well as the flow through the application. We are doing this by building a new user interface using React and updating some of the API layer to be REST based. In the first half of 2019 we will be migrating the entire site from an on-premise data centre to Azure.
We're looking for a .Net developer with a passion for the UX side, although you will also be heavily involved in the development of our service layer as well as our continuous delivery pipelines. We don't want someone who only focuses on the front-end. You will likely be as comfortable facing the challenge of getting IE to look the same as Safari as you are deciding when your WebApi should return 418. You will have an interest in, and probably experience using, Azure, and if you have experience using Azure AD B2C that would be amazing.
Due to our timescales you must be eligible to work in the UK, or in the UK with a visa which we can takeover if necessary.
Essential experience and skill requirements:
The closing date for this role is 31st December 2018. We recruit on a rolling basis and fill our vacancies as soon as we find people who fit our culture and meet the skills requirements. This means that whilst we have a closing date on all of our roles, we may offer the role to someone before the end date, so we recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
